FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS "CAMP"

Who is the camp for?
The camp is for children 5 to 12 years old. Every camper must be comfortable swimming in water depths that exceed his or her height.

When does it start?
The first week of camp is June 8th. It runs for 8 consecutive weeks, ending July 31st. The camp is Monday through Friday 8am to 3:30pm. Before and after care is available for an additional charge. Please see the camp information for the dates of the weekly sessions, and a breakdown of daily camp activities.

What do the children learn?

They are taught swimming stroke technique, basic diving skills, and basic trampoline skills by highly qualified instructors.

How big are the groups?
There are 10 kids per group and 2 counselors per group. We also have 3 lifeguards on duty at all times.

What do the kids do for lunch?
Children can either bring a sack lunch or money to purchase food in the food court. The kids eat their lunches outside in the UC patio. Hurricane Aquatics provides pizza on Fridays for all campers.

How much does it cost?
The price of the camp is $225 per week. We do offer a discount for siblings, multi-week sign up, and children of UM employees. Please see the camp information for full explanation of discounts.
